 James D. Freyer Jr  Chief Executive Officer

Jim was appointed CEO of Haylor, Freyer & Coon, Inc. in 2011, after serving the company for over 25 years.  He also holds a position on HF&C's Board of Directors and is an Agency representative for our international partnership with Assurex Global.  He currently serves as a member of the Hanover Insurance Company National Agents Council.   Jim is proud to work along side 200 employee owners (ESOP) in nine offices and be ranked the 81st largest broker in the U.S. by the Business Insurance.

Prior to his role as CEO, Jim held a position as Executive Vice President and Director of the Manufactured Housing Division, where he made a lasting imprint.  Jim will continue as CEO of MHD Empire Service Corp, a licensed mortgage broker specializing in the manufactured housing industry.  Jim's focused work on new business sales and specialized work in the industry aided in expanding MHD in twenty-one states.

Jim is Past President of the New York Housing Association and has been the New York delegate to the Manufactured Housing Institute in Washington DC.  In 2003, he was recognized by the industry and received the NYHA Hall of Fame Award.  In 2006, he was recognized by the Pennsylvania Manufactured Housing Association and received the President’s Award for his service to the industry.

In 1984, Jim graduated from SUNY at Geneseo with a Bachelor of Arts.  Jim became a certified insurance counselor in 1996 and holds a broker license in all states. 

Jim drives the vision of HF&C and insures the mission of outstanding customer satisfaction is being met.   A demonstration of Jim's commitment to the community, he is a Board member of the Success by 6 United Way program and actively involved with Young Life, a faith-based youth program.

Jim has been a lifelong resident of the Syracuse area where he resides with his wife, Shari and their three daughters.  In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, boating in the Thousand Islands and skiing.
