Bruce Wichmann PresidentBruce began his career in insurance by joining HF&C in 1971. Bruce became a principal owner in 1982 and is currently President of the Agency. His main responsibility at the firm is overseeing the entire commercial sales function for all 11 locations. Bruce is also responsible for the sales and operation of the agencies joint venture with Dairy Farmers of America, housed in Kansas City. Bruce is also the partner involved in the setup of the Agencies first venture into the formation of a captive.
Keeping abreast of the changes in the insurance industry, Bruce has been a representative to and chaired a number of Insurance Advisory Boards including Aetna, Fireman’s Fund, General Accident and One Beacon.
Bruce is also very involved in the Syracuse community serving over the years as President of Syracuse University Hardwood Fund, Greater Syracuse YMCA, Midstate Youth Hockey, Independent Insurance Agents Association, as well as the Independent Insurance Agents of NY where he received the “Insurance Person of Distinction” award in 1997.
