Announcing Sixth Office Location at Mohawk Harbor in Schenectady, New York

Haylor, Freyer & Coon Inc. Announces Sixth Office Location at Mohawk Harbor in Schenectady, New York Syracuse, N.Y., October 31,  2017 — The Board of Directors of Haylor, Freyer & Coon Inc. (HF&C) along with The Galesi Group today announced that the 90-year old Insurance and Risk Management Agency has selected Mohawk Harbor in Schenectady, NY for the company’s Eastern New York regional office. This sixth regional office location will enable HF&C to provide service to clients in Eastern New York and the Capital Region. “We have been amazed by the Galesi Group’s vision for this new development”, said Jim Freyer, CEO of HF&C. “ We have been searching for the right space for our expansion for some time, and we clearly found it at Mohawk Harbor. We look forward to a mid-December grand opening. Over the years, we have seen tremendous growth in our Syracuse, Rochester, Watertown, Ithaca and Binghamton locations.  It made sense to continue our successful model of distinctive and exceptional service in Eastern New York and Mohawk Harbor is definitely the place to be.” HF&C will lease new office space at Two Harbor Center at Mohawk Harbor. Two Harbor Center is a mixed-use building with ta total of more than 65,000 square feet of office and retail space. According to Freyer, “Having a strong community presence is a critical part of our core values. Being part of Schenectady and the Capital Region is important to us as we will now be able to serve an array of business and personal insurance clients right where they live and work.” HF&C has begun staffing this new office space and when at capacity the office will have more than 10-15 new employees. These new additions will work along side George Mahoney, Risk Management Advisor, who is already located in Schenectady. “As a full service agency, we are looking to complement our Commercial Business presence with a full staff of Group Benefits and Personal Insurance advisors. Robert Rayo Named President

At the October 13, 2016  annual Employee Owner Shareholders Meeting, Robert J. Rayo was named President of Haylor, Freyer & Coon, Inc. Robert joined Haylor, Freyer & Coon, Inc. in 1987 and focused his attention on large commercial clients in the Transportation and Construction industries, quickly building the Construction Division into a premiere niche at HF&C.  He joined the Board of Directors in 2003 and became The Director of Commercial & Surety Insurance in 2014.  In 2016 Robert was also named Director for the Group Benefit Division. As a principal owner, Robert is also charged with further development of global business opportunities through Assurex Global.  According to Rayo, “This exclusive partnership of the most prominent independent agents and brokers in the world is an important piece of our Agencies success.  Many clients in our region have large and growing global operations and HF&C is proud to be able to service their international needs through Assurex Global” According to Jim Freyer, CEO, “Robert is a strategic leader for our entrepreneurial and service oriented employees.   His continued development of the sales and operation functions for our Agency is an opportunity for extraordinary future growth for HF&C.” Robert works tirelessly to create an atmosphere of excellence at HF&C, implementing a training / mentoring program and spearheading the development of an ESOP Committee to advance the culture and rewards of being part of an Employee Owned Company (ESOP).
