At the October 13, 2016 annual Employee Owner Shareholders Meeting, Robert J. Rayo was named President of Haylor, Freyer & Coon, Inc.
Robert joined Haylor, Freyer & Coon, Inc. in 1987 and focused his attention on large commercial clients in the Transportation and Construction industries, quickly building the Construction Division into a premiere niche at HF&C. He joined the Board of Directors in 2003 and became The Director of Commercial & Surety Insurance in 2014. In 2016 Robert was also named Director for the Group Benefit Division.
As a principal owner, Robert is also charged with further development of global business opportunities through Assurex Global. Many clients in our region have large and growing global operations and HF&C is proud to be able to service their international needs through Assurex Global”

Robert works tirelessly to create an atmosphere of excellence at HF&C, implementing a training / mentoring program and spearheading the development of an ESOP Committee to advance the culture and rewards of being part of an Employee Owned Company (ESOP).
Robert is a graduate of Florida International University, and was awarded the designation of CRIS (Construction Risk Insurance Specialist) in 2012. He lives in Baldwinsville with his wife Susan and their two children. He is a strong supporter of local charities, is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time on the St. Lawrence River with family and friends.
