Haylor, Freyer & Coon Announces move to revitalized One Park Place in downtown

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Haylor, Freyer & Coon, a Top 100 independently owned insurance agency, is moving its headquarters to downtown Syracuse. All 130 local employees are expected to move from Salina Meadows Office Park off Buckley Road to One Park Place in late spring or early summer 2019, making it the largest corporate move into downtown Syracuse since 2016, according to the City of Syracuse. “When looking at our options, the most important thing to our company was staying in Syracuse,” said Jim Freyer, CEO. “One Park Place and the surrounding area have seen tremendous investment and revitalization in recent years. We are excited to move to an area that will allow us to build upon our company culture and help us recruit and retain top talent as we continue our independent, employee-owned history.” The company decided to move downtown for additional space, increased visibility in the market and a more centralized, vibrant location. It also brings the agency closer to other professional service organizations and many local nonprofit organizations that the company supports through days of service and other charitable activities. “As we celebrate our 90th anniversary this year, we are looking forward to the next 90 years with our talented workforce of today and tomorrow, and with a headquarters that can position us for a strong future,” said Freyer. “Haylor, Freyer & Coon has a long history as active, engaged supporters of the Syracuse community,” said Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh. “We are excited to include them among a growing list of organizations realizing the benefit of downtown for their business and their employees. I’m honored to be among the first to welcome them back to the city.” Haylor, Freyer & Coon has secured exterior lighting naming rights to the building on all four sides. The building is owned by Zamir Equities and its founder, Asher Zamir, an investor from New York City, who purchased One Lincoln Center at 110 W. Fayette St. and One Park Place at 300 S. State St. in May 2017. At One Park Place, the owner has completely remodeled the lobby entrance and installed high-speed elevators with new interior cabs. There are plans to begin construction in the lower level on a 4,000-square-foot workout facility and locker rooms that will stay open 24/7 for building tenants. Additional plans include a new 1,500-square-foot shared meeting room for over 100 people, a restaurant remodel and a lower-level lounge featuring a large-screen television, games and a comfortable seating area for building employees to relax during lunchtime or breaks. The building owner is installing exterior high-performance Lumenpulse LED lighting with dynamic color-chasing capabilities that will light up the Syracuse skyline. Haylor, Freyer & Coon Inc. Announces Sixth Office Location at Mohawk Harbor in Schenectady, New York Syracuse, N.Y., October 31,  2017 — The Board of Directors of Haylor, Freyer & Coon Inc. (HF&C) along with The Galesi Group today announced that the 90-year old Insurance and Risk Management Agency has selected Mohawk Harbor in Schenectady, NY for the company’s Eastern New York regional office. This sixth regional office location will enable HF&C to provide service to clients in Eastern New York and the Capital Region. “We have been amazed by the Galesi Group’s vision for this new development”, said Jim Freyer, CEO of HF&C. “ We have been searching for the right space for our expansion for some time, and we clearly found it at Mohawk Harbor.
