Carl Malm

Business Development Leader

Carl works with our Transportation Team coordinating markets, training, and production. He is based out of our Midwest Regional Office in Indianapolis, IN.  Carl began his insurance career working for Allstate Insurance in the Accounting Department. He was quickly promoted to a management rotation program and found his niche In Sales. He then moved on to Protective Insurance Co. a specialist in trucking insurance. He was very successful and sold and serviced some of the largest trucking operations in the country.  To stay current in this challenging risk management space, he regularly attends market  seminars, conferences, and state associations that all represent trucking companies.  He joined H,F & C to continue his love of educating and advising trucking companies of the risks involved in their industry.

Carl enjoys many sports and sits on the Board of Directors of the Central Indiana Adult Soccer Association (CIASA ). He continues to play competitive soccer to stay fit and for enjoyment.

Carl graduated from Purdue University. He resides in Indianapolis with his wife. They have four children and four young grandkids which keeps them busy.
